Terms
Last updated 6 September 2026
stackdir is a directory. It puts people who can operate particular tools in front of people looking for exactly that, and then gets out of the way.
By using the site you accept what is written here. If you do not, do not sign in and do not contact anyone listed.
What happens to data about you is a separate question with its own page, and theprivacy notice answers it: the two cookies this site sets, what the analytics counts, and how to switch the analytics off.
Your account
You sign in through LinkedIn or Google. There is no password to set and none is stored. One account gets one profile, which is enforced by the database rather than by a rule anyone has to remember.
Anyone anywhere can list themselves. There is no country requirement, and the countries in the directory are there so people can be found, not to limit who may join.
The profile has to be about you. Do not list someone else, an agency, or a persona. If you leave, delete it.
What you publish
Your profile text, your links and your project descriptions stay yours. By publishing them you give permission to display them on this site and in search results, which is the entire purpose of putting them here.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you write. In particular:
- Only tick tools you can actually operate. The tool list is the one thing this site is for, and it stops working the moment people tick everything.
- Do not claim work you did not do.
- Do not publish anyone else's contact details, only your own.
- Do not upload anything unlawful, hateful, or infringing on someone else's rights.
Contacting people
The addresses on this site are there so a person can send another person a real message about real work. They are not a mailing list.
Do not scrape the site, and do not use anything you find here for bulk email, recruitment blasts, or any automated outreach. Doing so is a breach of these terms whether or not any technical measure stopped you.
Removal
Profiles can be unpublished or deleted at any time, without notice, if they break the rules above or are being used to spam people. There is no appeal process. That is the trade for a directory anybody can join instantly.
You can delete your own profile from your dashboard whenever you like. That removes your profile, your tools and your projects for good.
No guarantees
The site is provided as it is. Nobody listed here has been vetted, interviewed, or checked. There is no escrow, no contract, no dispute process, and no involvement in whatever you agree with the person you contact.
To the extent the law allows, the site owner is not liable for the work anyone does or fails to do, for anything a listed person says, for money you lose in a deal arranged through the site, or for the site being unavailable. If you need a guarantee, you need a contract with the person you hire, not with this directory.
Changes
These terms can change. The date at the top says when they last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.
Where these terms apply
The directory is used from everywhere, and these terms are written to travel. Nothing here takes away a right you hold under the law where you live. Where your local consumer or data-protection law says something different from this page, your local law wins and the rest of this page still stands.
You are responsible for your own side of that: whether you may offer your work where you are, what you owe in tax, and what a client in another country needs from you. This site does not check any of it and is not a party to what you agree.
